Mineral-insulated fixed resistance heating cables (MI heating cables) are among the most powerful solutions in the field of electrical trace heating. They are used wherever extreme temperatures, aggressive environmental conditions, and the highest demands on operational safety and service life occur. The robust construction consisting of a high-quality stainless steel sheath, mineral insulation, and an internal heating conductor makes these heating cables particularly resistant to aging and corrosion, as well as extremely resilient to mechanical stress.

MI heating cables are temperature-resistant up to 800 °C and cover a very wide range of applications – from frost protection and temperature maintenance up to 650 °C to demanding high-temperature processes. The wide range of specific resistances (Ω/m) allows individual heating outputs to be achieved, meaning that the heating cables can be precisely adapted to the medium, geometry, and process requirements. In addition, MI heating cables are freely formable and can be optimally adapted to complex component geometries. Typical areas of application include dust discharge in combustion and industrial plants, such as filter hoppers, filter tips, screw conveyors, rotary valves, and other dust-carrying components. In these applications in particular, high holding temperatures and constant heat distribution are required to prevent condensation, deposits, and blockages. In addition, MI heating cables are used on pipes, containers, loading arms, and in special solutions under extreme conditions.

A decisive quality factor for mineral-insulated heating cables is professional assembly. Unlike standard heating tapes, MI heating cables require a high degree of precision craftsmanship. Soldering the cold cables in particular is a technically demanding task, as it is necessary to ensure a permanently secure electrical connection and reliable sealing.

Each production step is controlled and carried out in accordance with defined quality standards. This results in ready-to-connect heating cable systems with high reliability and a long service life, which significantly reduce installation times on site.
