The robust construction, consisting of a high-quality stainless steel sheath, mineral insulation, and an internal heating conductor, makes these heating cables particularly resistant to aging and corrosion, as well as extremely durable.

MI heating cables are temperature-resistant up to 800 °C and cover a very wide range of applications – from frost protection and temperature maintenance up to 650 °C to demanding high-temperature processes. The wide selection of specific resistances (Ω/m) allows for customized heating capacities, enabling the heating cables to be precisely tailored to the medium, geometry, and process requirements. Furthermore, MI heating cables are freely formable and can be optimally adapted to complex component geometries. Typical applications include dust discharge systems in combustion and industrial plants, such as filter hoppers, filter tips, screw conveyors, rotary valves, and other dust-carrying components. High holding temperatures and consistent heat distribution are essential in these applications to prevent condensation, deposits, and blockages. Mineral-insulated heating cables are also used in pipelines, tanks, loading arms, and in special solutions under extreme conditions.

A crucial quality factor for mineral-insulated heating cables is their professional assembly. Unlike standard heating tapes, mineral-insulated heating cables require a high degree of craftsmanship. Soldering the cold leads is a particularly demanding technical task, as a permanently secure electrical connection and a reliable seal must be ensured.
