Polymer-insulated fixed resistance heating cables
Polymer-insulated fixed resistance heating cables from Pro Therm are UV and chemical resistant, easy to install, and versatile—from frost protection to temperature maintenance up to 160 °C.
Polymer-insulated fixed resistance heating cables are a proven solution for electrical trace heating systems when reliable temperature maintenance, frost protection, or controlled heating is required. Their special design with resistant polymer insulation makes them suitable for use in a wide variety of industrial environments and they are characterized by high resistance to external influences.
The insulation materials used make these heating cables UV-resistant and resistant to numerous chemicals. This means they can be used both outdoors and in industrial plants with chemical exposure.
Another advantage is their ease of installation. Thanks to their small bending radii, the heating cables can be easily laid even in confined spaces or complex geometries. Their temperature resistance up to 260 °C allows them to be used in demanding applications, while at the same time covering a wide range of uses from frost protection to temperature maintenance up to approximately 160 °C.
Polymer-insulated fixed resistance heating cables offer a wide range of specific resistances (Ω/m). This allows individual heating outputs to be achieved and the heating cables to be precisely designed for the medium, cable length, and desired operating temperature. In applications with low specific heating power below 10 W/m, cold cables can often be dispensed with, which further reduces installation costs.
Depending on the design, the heating cables have international approvals such as ATEX, IEC, EAC, and UL, making them suitable for safety-related applications and for use in potentially explosive areas.
