Project delivery for electric heat tracing
Project Delivery and Coordination
Industrial heat tracing projects differ in fluid, temperature duty, plant geometry and installation conditions. Pro Therm supports engineering, system selection and on-site execution with its own installation teams, including international projects.

Installation on industrial sites
Cable routing must accommodate valves, flanges, supports, instruments and subsequent insulation. Pro Therm's own teams account for actual site conditions.
Circuits, controls and testing
Engineering covers circuit lengths, power feeds, connections, temperature sensors and controls. Measurements and circuit identification support testing, commissioning and maintenance.
Standards reference (checked 14 October 2026): IEC 60364-6:2016, including its 2017 corrigendum, provides the international installation-verification reference. For initial verification in Germany, DIN VDE 0100-600:2017-06 applies. Product testing, installation verification and thermal operating evidence are documented separately. IEC/IEEE 62395-1:2024 and IEC/IEEE 62395-2:2024 are international references for industrial resistance trace heating outside hazardous areas. The project's standards basis is selected for its country, application and agreed scope.
Applications across industries
Freeze protection, temperature maintenance and controlled heat-up impose different duties depending on the fluid and plant. Piping, tanks, pumps and instrument lines form a connected thermal system.
International project execution
Technical specifications, material logistics, power supply, local requirements and interfaces with other trades are coordinated early. Scope is defined for each project.
Destination country and site location affect documentation and site execution. Material identification, packaging, handover points and installation sequence are agreed for the project. Our own installation teams connect the design with the actual installation and report necessary changes.
Standards reference (checked 14 October 2026): The current international edition and a national adoption may have different publication dates. As checked on 14 October 2026, IEC/IEEE 62395-1 and -2 are issued in 2024, while Germany still lists DIN EN 62395-1:2014-10 and DIN EN 62395-2:2014-12 as current. Drafts are identified as drafts. The applicable edition and required evidence are established for each project.
Documentation for operation
Heating circuit lists, design data, connection details and test records make the completed heat tracing installation traceable. Documentation is compiled according to the agreed project scope. A clear link between drawings, labels and installed circuits makes future maintenance and fault finding easier. Changes made during installation should also be reflected in the relevant documents.
