Electric traffic slab heating for cold stores
Cold store heating
Wet surfaces at doors and airlocks can freeze where traffic enters a freezer area. Traffic slab heating targets these transition zones and is designed around the floor construction, use and local temperatures.

Coordinating the slab installation
Heating elements, installation depth and sensor positions are coordinated with the floor designer. Joints, reinforcement and future fixings must be considered. Cable positions and electrical test results should be documented before covering the installation.
Controls and operation
Controls are selected for the heated zone and its operating requirements. Measuring points, enable signals and monitoring are defined for the project. Heating forms part of the overall approach to moisture and slippery surfaces alongside cleaning and operational measures.
Project information for your enquiry
Provide a plan, surface dimensions, floor construction and door positions. Include room and ambient temperatures, traffic conditions, construction stage and schedule. We use these to discuss the heating requirements and supply scope.
