Cavity and wall heating for cold storage buildings
Cold store heating
Cold surfaces behind wall constructions can encourage condensation and ice. Coordinated heating targets critical areas and is planned together with insulation, vapour control and the building construction.

Heating elements and installation access
Heater placement is coordinated with wall area, cavity space and insulation. A cavity that will later be closed requires planned connections and measuring points. Necessary maintenance access is agreed with the building design team.
Temperature control and monitoring
The required minimum temperature follows from the project conditions. Sensor locations and controls should represent the critical zone. Clear drawings and documented tests provide an important basis for operating concealed heating systems.
Documents for planning
Provide wall elevations, sections and the layer construction. Include room and ambient temperatures, known moisture issues, project stage and required scope. Photographs and access information are useful for existing buildings.
