Maintenance and inspection
Although electric trace heating systems are virtually maintenance-free, we recommend annual inspections and comprehensive overhauls to prevent operational failures.
Electric trace heating systems are generally considered to be very reliable and virtually maintenance-free. Nevertheless, we recommend checking the systems at regular intervals—ideally once a year—to ensure that they remain in good working order and to avoid unplanned downtime.
As part of maintenance, our service technicians check the condition of the heating cables, connection and junction boxes, feed and control boxes, and control and monitoring technology, among other things. Relevant measurements such as insulation and resistance tests are carried out and documented. This allows potential deviations to be identified and rectified at an early stage before malfunctions or failures occur.
In addition to regular inspections, we also offer comprehensive overhauls of existing systems. These are particularly useful for older systems or systems with changed operating conditions. During an overhaul, heating circuits are checked in detail, components are evaluated and, if necessary, modernized or replaced.
Through preventive maintenance and structured overhauls, operators increase the operational reliability of their systems, extend the service life of their heating systems, and reduce the risk of costly production downtime.
