Frost protection cavity heating / wall heating

Cavity heating / wall heating

Our cavity and wall heating systems prevent condensation and ice formation behind wall structures and reliably protect buildings from moisture and frost damage.

In many buildings and industrial facilities, areas behind wall coverings or in cavities can develop where the temperature can drop significantly below that of the surrounding air. These temperature differences promote condensation. In refrigerated or deep-freeze environments, this condensate can freeze, leading to ice formation, moisture damage, and long-term deterioration of the building structure.

ProTherm offers electric cavity and wall heating systems specifically designed to prevent these effects. The heating systems are installed between the exterior wall and the wall insulation, ensuring a uniform temperature in these critical areas. This reliably prevents the dew point from being reached and effectively eliminates the formation of condensation or ice.

The cavity heating system is designed to suit the building's specific characteristics, ambient conditions, and the required minimum temperature. Controlled heat output keeps walls and adjacent building components dry and frost-free. At the same time, the insulation's effectiveness is maintained, preventing damage to the structure, insulation, or surfaces.
